The Bangalore Cat Squad is a 4 year old ( March - 2015) community of animal lovers who have come together in an innovative format to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome injured and/or abandoned cats and kittens across Bangalore city.
Today BCS is among the largest cat shelters in the country, with 50 rooms, 50 staff and the ability to rescue and rehome over 20 kittens a month( inhouse) and spay and neuter 100 plus cats a year. In addition, our model allows us to take in complicated cases that would have ordinarily never been given the chance. Finally, with the experience and learnings we have gathered over the past 4 years, we are able to support at least 30 independent rescuers and reporters each month - and ensuring that each of these cases get the right medical attention and after care and support .
